I loved this newsletter! "On brand" or not (agree, what a weird metric), how could I not love a newsletter that leaves me awash in new (to me) poets and poems? Thank you Chris, for all the threads you toss out so we can weave ourselves together.
Every time I read your work I feel like I’ve been handed a compass I didn’t know I was missing. Thank you for being loud and honest in all the best ways!
When I was a kid, red winged blackbirds lived in a slough called Goose Lake in Minnesota. Yesterday I walked by a slough called The Slough across from the ocean on Lummi Island and heard their songs. I forgot their names, had to use Merlin. Then I read the poem here by AJ Wojtalik and the feeling of joy that infused me in that sun drenched salt filled spring moment was indeed nostalgia. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you Kris for every month but this one particularly I respond and thank you for the poems and the additional poetry. And I concur that Laura.Paskus and her essay is filled with poetry. And I especially appreciate her reference to Larry Rasmussen. I’ve known him for many years while he was working at union theological seminary in New York City. Thank you so much.
Ah! Thank you for sharing our work, Chris! And for your wisdom; I am so grateful.
You're welcome! And I just hot-linked your newsletter to your name in your poems....
Thanks! Your support means a lot.
Your newsletter never fails to astound me.
Miigwech! Thank you!

WOW! So wonderful and such a delight to read. Zion is one of my dearest parks, and I was transported there – thank you.
Zion is spectacular. I'd never been there before.
